Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) Policy
1. Zero-Tolerance Policy
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any content or behavior that depicts, promotes, solicits, or attempts to access CSAM is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination, removal from the platform, and reporting to appropriate authorities.
As our platform already prohibits all adult content, any sexualized content involving minors is a severe violation of our standards.
2. Legal Compliance and Reporting
As a Canada-based developer, we comply with the Criminal Code of Canada, the Protecting Children from Internet Predators Act, and applicable international laws, including those of countries where our users reside.
All suspected CSAM is immediately reported to the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (Cybertip.ca) and/or relevant law enforcement agencies. We also cooperate with global organizations such as NCMEC and INTERPOL when applicable.
3. Prohibited Content Includes (but is not limited to):
- Images, videos, or animations depicting or implying the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors
- Sexualized or suggestive depictions of minors, even in fictional, AI-generated, or cartoon form
- Comments, messages, or roleplay content that involve minors in a sexual context
- Links or references to external CSAM-hosting platforms or hidden forums
- Attempting to groom or solicit minors
4. Moderation and Detection Measures
To protect our users and uphold this policy, we employ:
- Automated detection systems, including hash-matching and behavioral analysis
- Human moderators trained to identify and escalate concerning content
- User reporting tools embedded throughout the app
All content is monitored in accordance with Canadian privacy laws and international best practices.
5. User Safety and Age Restrictions
- Strict age verification measures are in place to prevent underage account creation
- Minors cannot access or share private media or participate in adult-themed interactions
- Users attempting to contact minors inappropriately are permanently banned and reported
6. Reporting Suspected Violations
Users can report suspicious content or activity through in-app tools or by emailing:
safety@reflective.social
Reports are reviewed immediately and confidentially by our trust and safety team.
7. Enforcement and Consequences
Violations of this policy result in:
- Permanent removal of the user account
- Immediate takedown of offending content
- Mandatory reporting to local authorities and global law enforcement
- Disclosure to app distribution platforms (e.g., Google Play)
Important: Possession, creation, or sharing of CSAM is a criminal offense. We fully cooperate with law enforcement in all jurisdictions to protect children and prosecute offenders.
